Ode to Harley

Harley and I have been gettin out and about town quite a bit. Sometimes its just us two who are dodging the big scary dogs and at other times we have the company of a whole tribe of little kidlets wanting to walk harley and talk to me. She's quite the heart breaker and has a steady following here. She is friends with anyone who will give her a belly rub or play with her.
I would be lost without her - she is great company and loves just to hang. Her fav thing at the moment is to go on long drives. As soon as I open the car door, she is in and laying spread out on the back seat waiting to go. A bit of a blessing really as it would be a BIG problem if she didnt like the car.
About 5 weeks ago, I took Harley for a walk along the dog beach at Yeppoon where she met a black Labrador called Hexi (German for black witch). They became fast friends on the beach and played manically for about 45 minutes. This gave me the chance to get to know Evi and her daugher who own Hexi. Harley and I went back last weekend and stayed with them at their gorgeous place up on Barlow Hill. 180 degree view of the ocean from the upper deck - a beautiful and welcome contrast to Woori thats for sure. I'm going to house sit/ dog sit for them when they go away at Easter. Karma is good!
